Now spring is finally approaching we can look forward to the sunny times again, which I've missed so much! Spring time means 'Striped tee's' time for me. I forgot how playful they can be. They can be combined with several clothing pieces, creating a lot of different styles. Today I chose for a more 'street' kind of vibe to keep it more casual.

Talking about fashion.. Lately I see the open knee cut jeans in all kinds of colors and designs however, I just decided to cut up my own old jeans that has been laying around. No need to buy new jeans if you can cut up your own right? I saved myself some money and made use of my old clothing again. So just cut out your own jeans and wear them trendy these days :)

Valentines day. For some people a beautiful day full of love, for others a not so great one. For me, just another day with my loved one. It's such a great thing that people are looking forward to valentines day and plan what they are going to do with their loved ones, and oh don't forget the gifts :) But me and my loved one try to treat each other like everyday is Valentines day. You don't love your lover any less after Valentines day right? I try to treat him as a royal and he makes me feel safe and beautiful, that's how it goes in our relationship.

And if you don't have a lover on valentines day, it doesn't matter. The world doesn't end although it might seem annoying when you see a bunch of people kissing on the streets, luckily people in my country aren't so annoying :) I got friends that used to fill themselves up with loads on chocolates and watch movies, you know the standard of what you see in movies. Just treat the day like it's any other day. And love yourself, that's what matters. I actually never stuffed myself with chocolates on valentines day, that's what Christmas is for :)

The last couple of days I decided the enjoy life a little more. So I did whatever I wanted to do, which also means spending some time in the gym. Working out has a very calming effect on me, which is positive for sure. I also decided to be a little more creative and found a lot of inspiration. Not only for blogging but in my daily life also. And Valentines day is coming up. Normally I don't really have any plans, actually I never have plans I don't take Valentines day that serious. The city of Rotterdam. It's the city I went to school and the place where I work. Whenever I'm near the waterside in Rotterdam everything feels so magical. A lot of people say that Amsterdam is the most beautiful city in my country but I don't agree, Rotterdam has it's magic and has won my heart. What if I ... These two words 'what if' are so confusing and caused me many sleepless nights debating on if I made the right choices in life. In the daily life I am a very happy and enthusiastic person. However sometimes when life gets rough I debate on decisions I've made in the past. In these times I can feel alone, not lonely but alone. Most of the decisions in life you have to face yourself, no one can make them for you. I told myself a little while ago that I have to stop doing this to myself, stop worrying. As the saying goes ' where one door closes, another door opens'. Although I completely agree with this saying, I still have to find my open door.
I often think about my childhood which was worry free, everything felt so peaceful and fun. playing and making friends was all that counted at that time, I wish life could continue in the same way. As we grow older we tend to learn more about the struggles in life and the 'bad' , which influences us in several ways. If I knew before how it feels like to be 'older' I don't think I would have wished as hard to get older when I was little. However I think we were all secretly wishing for our birthday presents haha. I guess what I've learned by thinking like this is that,' you got to enjoy life right now as we have less struggles than later on in our lifes'. As we are now worrying about choosing the right education or the right job, or really wanting those pair of gorgeous shoes but hesitating about spending the money. We later have to worry about people we might lose in our lives, the highest value in life. So lets enjoy life, and create our own open doors.
